This guy needs to be in counseling. When he says “I don’t know” he probably doesn’t. Believe it or not, a lack of dopamine is notorious for causing this problem.
Seeing people like this… Life HAD to have been easier in the past. Dude has no brain. And you will have positive worth via the house you paid $45 for. Realistically you should have lost that and the dirt cheap mortgage in the BK. Unreal and undeserved every penny of equity in the house and car should have gone to creditors. THIS is the problem with the market and country. A literal thief and parasite. Boomers like this will tell you to look for a 2nd job door to door on foot. Maybe he should try that? It's about all he can afford. I think the sympathy is totally unwarranted and he got a major pass relative to other guests.
After watching probably 4 of these vids today it’s clear these people just don’t want to admit they are lazy and addicted to dopamine hits thru gaming and spending. I know, cause I’m in the same boat, I just pay my bills and don’t have kids. So I can.
But I know once I get married it’s over. It’s why I’m 38 without kids with every woman 25-33 I’ve been with wanting my child. I’m selfish and don’t want “my time” (which is just video games and golf) to go bye bye.
I’m actually 38 and have never opened up a CC. I only use cash. I took out an auto loan at 33, my credit was a base 600. I’d be an interesting guest for you and thought about sending my info. I make 32$ an hour as a chef, single, but still paycheck to paycheck. In Wisconsin.
I had no idea how much debt I had until I created an Excel spreadsheet. I had $44,000 in consumer debt. Started hammering away at it, quit buying cars on credit, and finally am debt free. It took me a while, but I won't ever carry a balance on a credit card again, or borrow to purchase a vehicle.
A lot of people seem to have lots of positive things to say about this guy being honest and trying to admit he has an addiction an all that, but his language to me just sounds like every other addict or just any person who continuously makes ruinous decisions. Its always "yeah, i know i got a problem, i have to fix it", "nobody to blame but myself", "I know i screwed up and need to stop", and other various forms of that stuff. People seem to think that means he is actually taking it seriously and wants to be accountable. But in my experience this is just standard fair for people to repeat out what they think other people want to hear despite having no intention of changing. People who want to change their behavior, in my experience, dont respond like this guy. When asked "why did you do this?" they don't go "i know i got to change", they actually stop and try to figure out an answer. This guy is doing all the "i got to change" stuff with zero of the reflection about what exactly he needs to change. Which makes me think he is entirely unserious about actually fixing his situation.
I have an older brother just like this guy. I had to buy his house and paid off his mortgage so he doesn’t get foreclosed (and of course he’s behind even on the minimal rent he pays that barely covers the maintenance). I know this behavior and it’s so annoying.
"Are we all just supposed to drag around a lunch with us" what? I have 20 years before my spouse and i retire at full age and we already have 2 million to retire on and we both bring our lunches with us every day and we only eat out with our multiple young kids once every 2 to 3 months and still enjoy life we just dont have FOMO or YOLO because this is what happens. I geel for this guy and so many others out there like this but if you listen to the patterns they all have in common is selfishness (they deserve to live with all the fun and none of the hard choices) chronic bad choices over decades is why i refuse to feel guilty for peoples bad choices.
lol. After an hour he says there's nothing I can do, talk to a financial advisor. Both myself and the client could have saved ourselves an hour of our lives. lol

Somehow, even after a long conversation in this episode, we uncovered EVEN MORE wild stuff about his past in today's Post Show: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLe_q9axMaeTbjN0hy1Z9xA/join
3:49 black sheep of the family excuse and all that is fine in your 20s. You are almost 70. It’s all mindset.

This guy is dumb… Just wow
That daughter likely is the same as this guy. It is crazy how similar to my parents my sister and I are when it comes to handling money.

Wow!!! Is there a word for that??? Dude.. bankruptcy then more new debt? No helping you at this point.. 😢
This guy is a classic Liberal, overly educated idiot! With no sense of personal responsibility.
Performing arts venue=dude runs a swingers club😂

Of all the episodes, I think this is one I'd like to see a followup for.
Could he not get a boarder or 2😅
This is me…or could very easily be me. God help me. I am not doing credit cards
He should just move to another country and sell his house and retire there. Let all debt default. Move to the Philippines
This is scary
I’ve always been terrified to get a credit card annnnd Caleb and his guest definitely are keeping me terrified 😂
I respect this guy's courage to face his own life and ask for help!

How do you declare bankruptcy and still get approved for more credit? That's a lunacy system
OMG!!! This man has a masters. This is so sad.
How is someone with a recent bankruptcy getting approved for this much credit
I feel very bad for him even though its his fault
This episode is super depressing

Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing the 62 year old Child…. or the Life Artist…
How does he still have a mortgage? If he declared bankruptcy then shouldn't he have been obligated to sell the property they had??
Addictive personalities – wow this is depressing
