New Zealand have a surcharge for every card transaction. What's wild is that nobody questions it! I asked why they just use cash instead, no fees, duh! 🤯
The tap-n-go is equivalent to music streaming companies, the cash is the equivalent to the muso trying to work out how to monetise their music somehow to be able to afford basic living costs.
Tolling places have figured out how to charge for using cash. If you forget your cash and get charged at one of these places they will say is $5-$10 then send you a invoice for $30+ because you didn't have cash on hand. (they should be called Troll bridges if you ask me)
Cash can be manipulated by employees cards/taps cannot. It’s also much less subject to fraud due to the biometric or PIN requirement on the device. All that security isn’t free.
My god soon enough they will offer a breathing license you need to apply for. Insurances do that already, and they don't work- well, they do. Very good drains of money. Very bad way to in fact keep breathing.
It´s called "take over the government" and it worked brilliantly for centuries. Problem are those pesky Peasants, wanting "not to starve and die" or "not to fight in that one war I took because I got insulted once". It´s terrible what became of our proud christian-peasant culture. Might as well bring that back… Maybe go inta a league with my fellow corporations. Call it an "Empire". Maybe use AI for less probability of a revolt.
98% of the population will never be remembered again. The effective size of humans that matter shrunk to 160 Million, probably less. Warhammer 40k Music is starting in the background.
You know some people genuinly want this. It´s mostly marketing. Don´t be a sucker.
Cash actually is the most expensive payment method. First operating costs of the cassier. The constant need to have cash in the store and the logistics behind it. The money transport, the increased need for security and so on.
we need an australian service to start up, debit/credit card provider but charge fixed rate fees. There's a certain cost to processing the transaction, percentages are wild.. but.. might be hard to provide insurance beyond fraudulent transactions

Well, as far as I know here in Brazil some banks charges you if you want to get cash at the ATM, so there’s ways to put a fee in cash 😂😂
You have fees for NFC payments? 😮
No, they usually just charge a fee to get cash, be it at an ATM, a check cashing fee or a fee for having a bank account.
I’m pretty sure, big businesses include that fee in the cost of item so that their product price stays even
What do you mean? Cash payers still have to contend with all the vat and stuff.
Ok do Americans have fees for paying with your card every time? Why?
cash is king

Like the skit hate the suits
Verizon charges more when you pay with cash at the place for some reason.

Inflation is the fee of holding cash
Banks already charge businesses to deposit cash, and it’s actually quite a lot more than credit card fee costs usually.
Use cash
Cash is king? 👑
I went to JB-HIFI and bought $300 headphones with cash, and the cashier was totally shocked she had to get the supervisor in
Cash is king. Fuck digital banking.
If I can't buy in cash, I don't buy.
And then there's discover who gives cash back when using your DEBIT card. and gives almost 4% intrest on your savings account! 👍
Do debit cards add fees?
Think I'll be carrying cash again.

Domino's Australia charges more on Sundays for "Sunday wages" cash or card you're paying more
Bros trying to upset all Aussies 😂

The fee for cash is ATM fees.
Those security vans that collect cash to take to banks, also cost money
For cash, just charge handling and storage fees. Have to offset the expenses of employees and cash registers.
Banks are a f*****g joke. We are about as free as gold fish.

Glad to be a relic and figuring how to use cash at its best.

I automaticaly assume if your business is cash only you don't pay your taxes.
EU incoming in about 15 years snapping the life out of those fees… Handing the regular customer another win over tech
Apparently because seller uses this. They increase the price of product so they can reimburse the money they lost. Just one of the many reasons.
Last I checked on the ACCC website, applying surcharges to EFTPOS payments was illegal. Perhaps it was a surcharge over a certain percentage.
In any case, it absolutely SHOULD be illegal to apply a surcharge to EFTPOS payments seeing as there is no ongoing cost to the business.
Wow, sucks to live in a country that does that. Have fun de regulating even more.
Where was this guy that *** one of the ceo’s? The list just keeps getting longer. He will be flat out this year im recking 😊

The reason G9 can provide such good energy on target with less mass is because they’re going fast enough to offer the same or greater benefit.
Costs cash to withdrawal money sooo…
taxes are the cash fees.
Charging based on a percentage of the transaction is like charging for a plastic bag based on the percentage of your shoping bill.
I only use cash it is getting harder because the machines are not working or no money in them more and more often
