IONQ is a 2 dollar company. Their QPUs are 1-2 millisecond latency, which is very slow. 99.6% 2-qubit gate fidelity. Will never have anything useful
yes, smart money is short IONQ
share selling dumpster fire
This is a very interesting opinion
Do you see the same thing happening to Palantir $PLTR or due to their aggressive growth in contracts, margins, revenue etc, they have a better and sooner chance of growing into their valuation? Or do you suspect it will revert to the mean, likely shaving off half its market cap?
Sounds like you don't know what quantum computing is and how big it will be in the future… speaking specifically on ionq, their company has so much potential not just being the leader of qauntum stocks but really their patents that they hold to be able to create the strongest quantum computers that no other company can replacate.
Even Michael Jordan missed a dunk..who knew this was gonna take off. I bought in at $7.30. Playing with house money now. I respect anyone who sticks with their methods even if it cost you some times.
Overhyped 15/16$ ok but more than 40 crazy.
Your arrogance is a big turn off
Here’s an excerpt from an IONQ article on Yahoo Finance.
“IonQ is now valued at nearly $10 billion. That valuation is solely supported by the company's perceived long-term potential, not its current results. For IonQ to work out as an investment, not only does quantum computing technology need to reach commercial viability before the company runs out of capital and the ability to raise more capital, but it also needs to emerge as an industry leader.
All of that is possible, but the odds are likely low. It could take a decade or more for quantum computers to be used commercially in any meaningful way, and it's possible that they'll never be useful for solving real-world problems that stump supercomputers. Quantum computers may very well remain a science project for the foreseeable future.”
Your analysis is spot on, but you're ignoring the power of the technology itself
Mate, what I you are wrong? I mean, what if a miracle happens?
Spot on evaluation. Their debt has ballooned to 0.5 Billion USD which makes their 12 million USD revenue for 2024 seem inconsequential. Their financial metrics are horrific!!
I don't understand a lot of what you said, but my IONQ is up 473.76% since I bought it in August 2022 and it's the highest returning investment in my portfolio. It's only 9% of my portfolio, but I sure wish it was 90% so I could cash out and be free of this economic nightmare. Thank you for your advice.
