Toby, thanks for making such informative videos and sharing your knowledge. However, I’m confused. Recently I invested for the first time in a Trading 212 stocks ISA. The value has grown by £1000 in 2 weeks. But I’ve received an email saying they are reducing the interest on the ISA. Surely the interest rate isn’t fixed and it changes depending on how the portfolio performs. Please can you explain this? Thank you..

New investor here 🤔 Been investing in the S&P for 2 weeks. What I don’t get is how the UK market opens at 8am and can trade the 500 before the U.S market opens later in the day. Thanks in advance to anyone who is in the know 🙏🏽

Question: if I invest money into crypto currency and make a profit of £20,000 for example, can I then withdraw that £20k and put it into a Stocks & Shares ISA so it won't be taxed?

Or does this mean I have to put my money into the account itself, to then be invested through the channels of that account?

    Thanks 🙂

Yeah, but ISA offers less than 1% interest. Even tax free you're still losing money against inflation

Hi Toby when you invest in stocks and shares. As the value can fall as well as rise, you could get back less than has been paid in ??

Please can someone help me out.

Let’s just say I have £50k a cash isa at this moment in time, and I have a £20k ready to put into a trading 212 stocks and share isa.

Am I allowed to put a maximum of 20k out of that 50k from my existing cash isa into a new stocks and shares account, or have I already exceed my 20k limit by currently having 50k in a cash isa which has been opened for years now. Any advice would be appreciated👍🏻

I wonder is there any provider which offers ISA under which I can sell and buy shares USA shares without fx fees?
Trading 212 converts GBP into USD when buying stocks, charging you 0.15% fee . That is £30 on £20k sell or buy. Basically by selling £20k and buying different USD stock , you pay £60 in fees.
I wish they converted your GBP and kept your ISA in a separate USD account which you can use to sell and buy without conversion fees.
However, I don't know if this is possible with ISAs (it can be that they must be in the GBP) .

So the money in a stocks and shares ISA is at risk!? 8:10 "So you haven't opened a stocks and shares ISA…" Well because it's basically gambling if money is at risk! Also for ISA's in general, on the previous years ISA with more than £20K now in it due to the interest made on it during the year, do you still get interest on the total amount. Is the interest still tax free on the total in this previous years ISA while also getting interest in the new current years ISA?

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.
