Well it's clear as day that NASDAQ outperformed the S&P by a good 3-4% if you look at the historical avg yearly returns
NASDAQ 100 is a better performer than S&P500

but the only advantage of nasdaq is it pays dividends so for a 10 year investment you'd not only gain stock growth but would collect cash dividends that can be used to either reinvest or look for another investments

Most of the time, IтАЩd prefer the S&P 500. However, if the Shiller PE ratio is not too elevated, then I prefer the NASDAQ. Next fall, at the end of October, I will put most of my portfolio into the NASDAQ.

If you compare the performance of the two since the NASDAQ 100's inception, it has gone up way more than the S&P 500. So yeah NASDAQ for me.
