I have a friend who does DoorDash a bit and just for fun I did it a few times and averaged about 15 an hour in southeast, Virginia. Thankfully, I have my own business and did not need the money; I literally just did it for fun, but there is no way you can live on this today. 15 an hour, plus the wear and tear on your car is just not worth it. And it's really depressing when you think you can make a fast 5 dollars because the store and delivery place are very close to each other, but then you wait at the store for 30 minutes and then take another 30 minutes to find the place because the directions aren't clear. It's very demoralizing to go through all that for 5 dollars lol
Everything that you say & display on YouTube is exactly true and that's why I don't have any money we haven't ordered Uber eats for over 2 years now for many reasons they can never get the order right is for one People should be able to charge Uber a fee for wrong order their service centre dosen't exist so you don't get any help and you don't get your money back if you got the wrong order or missing items that should be a fee to them π°
The reason why this big of a problem isnt going away is because we're addicted to now and here. Even if we pay 100% more for the food. Too much money in the systems. Soon alot of big companies will go bankrupt. Goodbye influencers, goodbye streamers, goodbye food delivery. Imagine if your sole model is built on ads. Google, fb, ig, youtube….im salivating at the very thought
Honestly how hard can it be to run a delivery app? I get that the business needs to make money but it just seems like greed to charge that much for a simple delivery service.
I only order delivery from restaurants that hire their own drivers cause these places don't charge a delivery fee and the tip is purely for the driver… every other place I'd rather just drive there myself to pick up.
I used to make good money delivering pizza before the stores started charging a delivery fee, because the customer assumed the driver got the delivery fee and didnt need a tip anymore.
The app company does make money but they reinvest it in the company. Much of it is paid out in salaries and bonuses. They want as little as possible categorized as profit so they donβt have to pay taxes.
Worst is that the actual food's price itself is spiked without any warning or indication. You basically pay double in the end. Delivery apps make no sense whatsoever…

This is why MenuLog sold outβ¦people are slowly stopping using these apps as the value of their convenience has diminished
F#$k Uber.
Ha ha…. delivery guys…. no gonna be lucky…. unless they get tips……
I used to make about 25% of the overall price for the food. Ive recently noticed that I now make about an eighth of the overall price.

Not to forget a lazy customer fee (who rather prefers to pay an exaggerated total price than to go get the dish himself) ! πππ
Stop using the apps. Dont pretend the app is the problem. Your convenience is.
Itβs the truth that makes me want to watch more of these videos lmao π
This short was the reason I dented all food delivery apps
Yep, same old story⦠the people doing the actual work always get screwed. Ever see Bezos working at the warehouse?
In Croatia these apps are free, including free delivery. I think your business model might be wrong. π
When it's cheaper to rent a car drive to the restaurant pick up the foot yourself somethings terribly wrong
I deleted Food panda

I love the true, laughing and crying at the same time
Everyone needs to just keep refunding their orders, been eating for free last 2 yearsπ
Weird, I didnβt know they had suits in Australia, I thought everyone just walked around in tank-tops and cutoff jorts.
I guarantee all these food delivery companies collapse. They rely too heavily on people they donβt pay
I just pick it up myself
Iβm actively doing an Uber Eats order watching this video and yeah idk if Iβd describe my pay as being a βLucky Buggerβ ππ
These companies also claim to not be profitable. It is proof that the market does not get rid of terrible businesses…

Worst thing ever done.If you want takeaway go out and buy it

Everyone is pucked and app is still not making any moneyπ
You gotta be an idiot to have some rando bring you food. Especially having someone who makes no money touching your food. Disgusting.

THIS ROTTEN SYSTEM IS GOING TO EAT ITSELF VERY SOON…NOT DELIVERY APP NEEDED….
Maybe it's just cause I'm old and cheap, but I have never and will never order from these apps. I'll get my ass up and go buy food if I want to eat.

Exposing the fact that capitalism is all about finding new ways to take money off people.
And yet, they STILL dont make a profit…
