When we first reached out to this seller, we had been interested in a small sedan he was selling but then noticed he normally sold vans which was our first choice car.
We asked him if he had any vans he was about to finish up, and sure enough he did! The soonest day we were available to come look at it would have been later in the week on Friday (because of my husbands work schedule), and that was the day he said the van would be finished.
All through out the week we had time to pray and really seek God if this was right. What was really great, is in the mean time, we got unexpected early bonuses from work which covered all of the remainder we would need to buy the car. We were going to need to pull some from savings as our current only car is burning oil and the motor is quickly going out. It really seemed like things were falling into place.
When we got there on Friday, the seller mentioned he posted the car today and already got an offer for full asking at $8,900. We told him we could only do $8,000 and he agreed since we had been interested and in contact all week (he was very kind and generous to us).
What was really amazing is that the seller was a Christian, a strong one! When we walked into his house to sign the papers I immediately noticed worship music playing. We ended up spending an hour talking with him about Jesus and he shared his testimony of how he came to Christ, and it really felt like a God smile.
At times what you spent in repairs and maintenance of an older car can be expensive. Rather than buying a car three years old and having no maintenance expenses for at least five years straight rather than a ten year old car. Is easier to budget fixed monthly payments rather than additional expenses and costs for repairs of an older car. I had a Toyota Corolla brand new and had no major repairs for 9 straight years. Today I drive a Toyota Camry and all maintenance is included for life time. I only have to pay major repairs. Which I donβt see happening as it did on my Corolla after nine to ten years from 0 kilometers.
I got a 4 year old lincoln mkx reserve. Loaded. One owner. Special ordered for the one owner,130k highway miles for $15k dollars. I too needed a car desperately at that time. God made that deal possible. It's been a fantastic car for 5 years now, 100,000 miles I've put on it. Praise to God for providing for his children.
Iβm so happy to see your family seeking the Lord for guidance. Both my dad and my self are both professional mechanics although neither of us work for Honda. Iβm familiar With these vehicles. And if memory serves, right. Im going to ask you to have the transmission fluid changed. Also have both transmission filters changed. There are 2 filters, an internal and external filter. The dealer will more then likely tell you that one or the other filter only needs to get changed during an overhaul. But Iβm here to tell you by not changing the filters is the reason itβs going to need an overhaul. And you need to correct the problem before it ever happens and the problem generally happens around the mileage you have. Please get it done before itβs too late. And also donβt forget about the timing belt and water pump for the engine. God bless
