This needs a 2025 update
what can you offer a jobless Canadian with 30 years of tech support experience?
He is humble and his content is fun and educational to me.
He and the company should earn what they deserve for there time and effort.
Why is everyone afraid to talk about how much money they make…whether its a lot or little or in between. No one wants to talk about it. Like if you said i take home 100k a month, or 200k a month, no one is going to bat an eye considering how many subs you have, how many employees and expenditures you have, etc…People are just left to guess. And the reasons you provided are just, well pretty meaningless.
From a hockey country to another (FI-CA), having a transparent way of taxing people is not as bad as you'd think. Over here it is a standard. It is our BEESWAX since you live with us and pay on your part for all our services, that's the idea. Over here, if you were to go and ask for any citizens income from the tax agency, they would hand it to you. That's it.
Here to remind Linus that it’s time for the 2024 update.
Analytical data + an inside look of what we all contribute to is amazing.
He does custom builds for special clients and he has videos sponsering big companies paying him millions for the video. It's not the average producer paying but a big name corporation like Asus or MSI or G.Skill worth hundreds of billions of dollars flooding in with several of this name companies paying him. If he just sponsered iPhones he barely would make as much money as he is now given he is sponsered by the whole market of technology for his videos. On top of all of that previously his company was a subsiderary of a now defunct computer store which made a ton of profit until it was outlasted by Newegg and Amazon, and the current market of consoles and smartphones and tablets.
Its all a tax write off!!
Where's the Minecraft server? There's no link in the description!
so 10:47
$1,00 a year
linus was not gonna deny it right?
What about 2024 uPdate
Woop woop 8:51
or fidgeting with the 84.99 screwdriver
I love reason number 3. Truth
Would love for an update to see how things have changed again
This video needs an update ASAP with everything else thats been going on
If i had to take an educated guess i would say he earns around 20 million dollars in REVENUE NOT EARNINGS, because I dont know how much the company pays for taxes, wages and equipment
10:18 hundred mill
I bet your glorious beard has earned its own slice of pie-chart since you made this. For real, your transformation is 90's rom-com level glow-up 🔥. Probably time to start a lifestyle brand and thirst trap content 👨🚒
I really hope when linus leaves the company & channel dont turn to shit
I bought the $70 screwdriver. It’s worth the title of a $70 screwdriver.
My wife is about to divorce me because I have tested it on all power fixtures.
Linus, big whale can't buy an review – but I am sure that big whale, when funding your company, can hope for a, some "over looks" when showing new product.
he gets paid in ltt items :v
lol, he said beeswax.
After Watching "You Might Not Wanna Hear This – WAN Show March 31, 2023" I had to come back and watch this to get context about why you were so adamant about not doing an "Affiliate Program".
I agree, don't do it.
Look at the lengths Joe Rogan went to maintain his freedom. Dave Chappelle left $50m on the table and left everything because of that issue; freedom to speak or not speak.
respect for the transparency
Being in the future knowing Linus was offered NINE FIGURES for the channel and turned it down in the last two years is amazing.
I like this. I defiantly understand that you don't want to give a number and I agree but it is interesting to see what makes up the pieces of the pie. It's nice to see when something really changes. It's also nice to know why some things like the LTT store tags have changed the money. I hope you continue to do this from time to time, maybe every few years.
I wasn't prepared for a sponsor Linus, please remember to use segues.
@Linus Our Birthdays Are 3 days apart sir , Your august 20th I am the 23rd of August 1986
I've been a YouTube Premium member since its rebranding to such and I've always wondered how that affects the channels I watch since some will have several ads per video. It's great to hear that Google has developed a subscription service that not only feels worth it for watchers but is also MORE beneficial for YT creators. Thanks YouTube!
10:33 how a ceo should really talk, not kidding
I'm southern as fuck but I hate when he says yall
ur net worth is like 120 mil
You don't hear many Canadian people using the word y'all, EH?
I bet he's made at least 10 dollars from all this.
I can always dream of needing a black box which is that wide just to cover up my estimated revenue 🤣 heha 🔥🔥🔥 keep up the amazing work
Thanks for the video!
How to know, if I ever run the YouTube channel :p
Bruh, I'm late to this but being a current president of my own company it's clear he's paid in nuggets and drinks WiFi6 to recharge, Linus has no concept of money. Rumor has it he once paid for fast food with a USB dongle he gave a demonstration, poor 15 year old kid didn't realize he got scammed "HA USB3.0 type A" the kid says as he watches Linus roll away in his family car powered on PCIE6 power.
Sh****t you ain't fooling me Linus, I know you will never need your toilet pipes fixed cause you fart Y-band emissions and defecate 8000Mhz transfer speeds.
Side-note, I felt a professionally worded version would make it sound unreasonable or crazy.
This was really interesting I’ve never seen a channel break down revenue streams like that!
Hey Linus, I know this is late and you may not see this, but would you consider a EU/UK distribution (physical) site that sells your products over here without the prohibitive postage costs? That is the only thing putting me off buying your products. The postage for a product can be almost the same as the product itself.
You could launder money easily I recon
Lmg is the company I look at and dream to create someday, I'm 24 so I'm starting later than him, but damn it I want to create an ecosystem like he has, one that adherence to ethics, having high standards, and proud of that. That's a company I want some day
I would've bought your merch but the international shipping is half the price of bottle
selling chinese made junk
Linus takes from 600k to around 2m CAD home (excluding the team, budget, etc so profit for just himself)
I've seen the videos where he blows up at a company for sketchy practices and even the one where they tried to calm him down with no indication of doing the same for their other customers and he got angrier. He's the brother that has your back against big brother corporations. Keep up the good work.
Bro is capping 😂
