I am moving around some money this week. I’ll be freeing up nearly a million that was sitting in a 5% money market fund, waiting for a moment like this.
Stop investing in stocks and start investing in real estate you can live in while renting the other half. Then take out equity loans and acquire more but protect your downside. Being able as a single person, to take out $175,000 of tax free money is life changing ….. you don’t be a dumbass and let your girlfriend or wife force you to an expensive vehicle or boat… you tied that $175,000 in to 5 of the top producing stocks then take 10-15% of those gains after a year and put equity back in to those properties so if the bank calls the loan on a bad recession spike, you have collateral.
In my area of NC, townhouses by themselves have gone from 2021’ costing $225,000 to now over $1,100,000 less than 2800 square feet.
It’s sickening that now developers want $600,000 just for a lot.
A $2 million dollar home in my 3 neighboring cities brand new build is under 5,000 square feet.
In order to acquire a $2 million loan, you need to earn $500,000 annually. Good luck w that.
