I have been watching you for years. I appreciate how real you are.
I am learning to maintain my own car through YouTube cuz I don't have the hundreds of dollars some garage will charge me. Can you believe it's going to cost me $150 just so that some dude can change a lightbulb in my headlight? Nah. I got this. Learning to save and spend less is a new concept for me but in today's day, you gotta do what you gotta do. My hands hurt but it's a good hurt, know what I mean??
Cas, thanks so much. This video is incredibly helpful.
I keep a basket in my room for clothes that get worn once and will wear them again, wear my pj's a few times, and my towels as well.
I have several credit cards, but pay any I use before the due date. I've been doing amazing lately and will have a 10 yr mortgage pd off in less than 5 yrs. I won't have to renew for the 2nd term and it feels so good.
Good for you and those other ladies standing up Cass. Too bad some people are so selfish and mean.
I never could understand how people have subscriptions they don't know about. the only one I have is the family plan for spotiy that I have had for about 10 years now. Much cheaper than 6 single plans. I personally have enough songs downloaded on my phone that I could play it 48 hours stright and never hear the same song twice.
The no spend week is not going to work on gas where I am living at the moment. I am in the tri-state area of TN KY and VA. ( Can be in all three states in 15 minutes) not me personally but cause this is the Cumberland gap and Appalachian area some people are driving 70+ miles each way for work. There is no way you can drive 700 miles a week and not put gas in your vehicle.
One thing about buying used cars. If you are the kind of person who trades your car every few years then yes, used cars make sense. But if you buy a quality new car/truck and drive it for 30 years you get what you want, you know the history of the car, it lasts longer, costs less for repairs and it is a 1 time expense. You save thousands on dealership fees, taxes, license plates… True you do not get the latest gadgets, but most used cars are mid to low level cars anyway and won't have the latest gadgets either. So save, buy quality and live better.
